Welcome to the WxSolution forum! This new forum will have much better "up time" than the previous one, which many users could frequently not access. Registration is required to post or reply to messages, no registration is required to view. This step is necessary to prevent auto-spamming and will hopefully help in keeping this board polite and respectful. Feel free to e-mail the admin with suggestions for improvements. I just picked up a WMR968 for backup here, and have it running on the laptop for testing.

Every time it misses a sensor transmission, it plays that Windows error sound. Is there any way (in a future version) to have an option to disable it, and add a detailed red "error" message on the screen instead?

The error log also doesn't show which sensor it missed - don't know if that's fixable, but it names the sensors on startup, so maybe? Possibly even a per sensor daily errors counter or percentage in Current.html?

Also, are there lists of which Current.html parameters are valid for which model weather stations? I don't know if the sensor battery status will ever read anything, for example.

I am a long-time user of WxSolution and must say it is a great program. You have some valid points relative to the precipitation and sunshine. I suggest contacting Dan directly and see what he thinks. I have always found him very responsive and tries his best to address things brought to him. You can contact him here: support@thunderheadtech.com.

The option to record precipitation in mm is there, under station setup.

I like the stable statistic WxSol products.I use it for this reason.Cuz its simple and far from color graphs and luxurius images. My opinion is to focus in more statistics and fix some troubles.
Sunshine duration in more options than only 120wat/m2 ,precipitation in mm and not only in inch resolution will help and Europian cuztomers like me to have accurate readings and statistics.

 precipitation in mm
« Result #10 on May 29, 2009, 6:51pm »

Goodmorning to all weatherfriends.Im newbie here and work Wx solution in trial for some more days.Im thinking purcase it but its a trubles with precipitation. Its in inches and in 0.254mm per tip.Davis have a plastic part u put in rain gauge and make precipitation 0.2 mm resolution. So my Wxsolut gve me 17.78 mm rain instead 14.0.Its calculate 0.25 and not 0.2.I guess it need an option put resolution in 0.2mm and not in 0.01 inch(0.254mm).

I m sure its an American made program but now it start be famous in Europe too and i think you must make some options in metric units and in calculation of some parameters.Like 0.2mm instead 0.01inch and the sunshine duration to be selectable the Watt/m2 thearsold.I use 220wats in weatherlink program cuz it gve me the most accurate reading to the official airport data.In Wxsolution i must accept 120Watt and i get wrong reading in total sunshine.

Generaly i think its the best STATISTIC program and im so crazy with numbers. After some versions i think you will care about it.

Congradulation for this so stable program.Realy it not lot anything but it need some improvements in precipitation/sunshine duration and precipitation rate...
