Things I'd like to see:
"Always-on-top" feature for WXSolution screen
Generation of WXNOW.TXT file separated from the APRSWXNET upload feature. I've generated 3 megs of error log because I'm on radio only and it writes an error message every five minutes trying to connect via internet.
Ability to rename the "sunshine" sensor back to "indoor humidity". Also a display of indoor temperature.
Sending of an "ATRR" to the Heathkit 5001 rather than just resetting WXSolution's display to zero when resetting rain counter.

The indoor temperature is viewable on the Details screen.
The indoor humidity could be added back to support those who wish to see it. The reasoning behind this was that only the outdoor weather parameters were relevant.
Perhaps a flag could be added to indicate that the WXNOW.txt and APRSWXNET.txt files be created and not uploaded.
WxSolution sends an "ATCR" to clear the rain at modnight (if configured). The implications of not clearing the rain will be investigated.

Other things "that would be good" would include a tag for the last rain date, and another for "days since last rain".

And while on the subject of rain tags, high rain rate for the month and for the year would be nice additions, too.

WxSolution sends an "ATCR" to clear the rain at midnight (if configured). The implications of not clearing the rain will be investigated. Sorry, I screwed that one up. I don't usually read manuals, and "Clear Memory" didn't translate to "Clear Min/Max/Rain At Midnight" when mis-interpreted by me during installation. Didn't lose any rain readings because I installed a "YTD" rain counter in parallel with the rain gauge input on the Heathkit. Now if I could figure out how to fix (edit) the yearly rain data...

Something that I would like to see are the data packets sent by the VP, curently I have no idea if there is a communications problem.

One more wish for Santa; if WxSolution could once or twice a day fire up Weatherlink and download the data packets like VWS with PCLink.

I hafta agree wholeheartedly with the WeatherLink "integration." That'd be a nice, "cheap & easy" way to get near real-time graphing for WxSolution, too, rather than the current yesterday, monochromatic graphs that are WxSolution's only offering in that area.

Any update or additional thought about adding this feature, since most Weather Software will import the Weatherlink data. One more wish for Santa; if WxSolution could once or twice a day fire up Weatherlink and download the data packets like VWS with PCLink. I would like to go back to using WxSolution but have shelved it for now because of the lack of archiving Weatherlink.

I would like to go back to using WxSolution but have shelved it for now because of the lack of archiving Weatherlink. Figured it out, kinda crude but it works. I now have weatherlink downloading every hour and WsWin32 generating the reports on the hour. Automatic process for using WxSolution archiving data with Weatherlink and generating graphs with WsWin32. I run this process hourly since my web server is hosted locally, however it can be set to any number of different scenarios based on the user preference or if a public web server hosted by your ISP is used. Three separate entities are uses to complete the cycle. 1) Windows XP Scheduler. 2) SyncBack Utility. 3) Two separate BAT Files that start and stop the applications using the TSKILL command. It would be nice if this process was added to WxSolution. 1. Scheduler starts WsWin32 @ Hour 39 Minutes and runs for ten minutes. 2. Scheduler starts Weatherlink @ Hour 40 Minutes with max run set to one minute in scheduler. In the Weatherlink Internet setting I have set to generate the NOAA Month and Year reports to upload every minute and select Download from Weather Station first. 3. Scheduler runs the first BAT file that closes WxSolution @ Hour 40 Minutes. 4. Scheduler runs second BAT file that forces Weatherlink to close in case the Windows Scheduler failed or is delayed and starts WxSolution. 5. SyncBack copies the NOAA files generated via Weatherlink to the web server at a scheduled time after the update. 6. SyncBack copies the WsWin32 generated internet updated files to my web server. SyncBack can also FTP any files to a public ISP provided site. This process is repeated every hour and during this cycle, for approximately one minute the keyboard should remain idle. The box is a P4 3GHz with 1.2 gig of RAM and never requires more than 20% of total available resources.

Does anyone have any experience with importing "normals and records" data? I finally found a source for data and figured out how to format it in Excel and import it, but could not find "daily mean temperature" anywhere on the internet. Has anyone gone through this who has any shortcuts, ideas, or other experience?
Also, the data I found has degree day information averages. It would be nice to be able to import and display that info next to the current degree day info.

Yes, I am currently working on a project to do just that. I'm using PERL to do the work. You can see my progress @ members.cox.net/kc1fx

Reading back over some of our wish list items makes one thankful for Starthingych and VirtualVP from softwx.com. So for this Christmas I wish for WxSolution Rapid Fire to post wind gust separated from wind.

Another idea: A tag for yesterday's temperature at the current time. Makes it easier for us to track how much hotter (or disappointingly colder) our day will be.

I like the stable statistic WxSol products.I use it for this reason.Cuz its simple and far from color graphs and luxurius images. My opinion is to focus in more statistics and fix some troubles. Sunshine duration in more options than only 120wat/m2 ,precipitation in mm and not only in inch resolution will help and Europian cuztomers like me to have accurate readings and statistics.
